Eddy

Today was Josiah's baby dedication. We stood together as a family and with our brothers and sisters in Christ to give our son to the Lord. We pray that we will guide him in the ways of the Lord and that at the appointed time he will give his heart to the Lord. Eddy also gave a brief testimony today of how the Lord led us to this mission we are about to embark on. It is just remarkable to see the Lord's hand guiding us and preparing us each step of the way. He has been so faithful.

If you missed the presentation but would like to see the short video about the church we will be serving with you can find it here: http://www.koinoniaperu.org/ It is the video located on the top right hand side of your screen entiled "Peru - South America"

We have returned from our week away filled with some much needed relaxation. We jumped right into the preparations for our journey and continue to stay busy. The nights are late and the mornings seem to come all together to quickly but we are pressing on in His strength and with a little bit of extra caffeine. We thank the Lord that the repairs to the house are coming along and the Lord has provided a few helping hands to occupy the kids. It can be a bit overwhelming at times seeing the house in utter chaos but we hold fast to the peace that He has promised us. Everything WILL be accomplished in HIS time.

One of the reasons I am taking the time to update is because I would like to share a couple of prayer requests with you all, the first one needing immediate attention. Josiah has been suffering from a skin infection called Impetigo. This has been ongoing and had seemed to have cleared but has resurfaced in a worse state. The area around it now looks infected despite the antibiotics he just started. Please pray for the Lord's touch as this strain of the virus seems to be hanging tough, we may see the doctor tomorrow as our insurance runs out this weekend. In addition we just ask you to continue to pray for us that His peace would be upon us during this time and that we would make ample time to spend apart with our Lord.
The second reason I wanted to post tonight is to try to figure out how to post photos on this here Blogger thing, so bear with me.. OK, so I am too tired to keep playing around, maybe another day!!

Well, we have finally managed to create an account here to keep all of you informed as to our happenings in Peru. We of course will keep you updated as to how you can pray for us as well, we know that the prayers of the saints avail much!

As of now we are four weeks out from our departure. This time a month from now we will be in the air heading toward on an exciting new adventure with the Lord. This is Eddy's last week of work and then we will be joining our home fellowship for a retreat at the Castle in PA.. This will be some much needed rest and relaxation from all of the busyness going on. There is still a great deal to do by way of preparations for Peru and we will have just two weeks to accomplish it upon our return. We ask you to pray for our spirit's refreshment while we are away, for the Lord to protect us as we travel (we'll be heading to Harrisburg and Baltimore afterwards to visit with family) and to continue speaking His perfect will to our hearts. We are thankful for all of you who are lifting us up, we are blessed to have friends and family such as yourselves.

Please let others know about this blog. We are also working on a bookmark that we hope to soon make available to you. Also, we are new to this whole Blogger thing so if you have any ideas as to how we can improve this site, please do share!

One last note... just as an FYI. Those posts in English will be from Me, Lisa and those in Spanish will be from Eddy... this probably goes without saying but I thought I would do so anyway.
